Baracoa, Cuba - A casa particular owner stands out on the deck of her house. Casa particulares are Cuba's version of guesthouses. There aren't any hostels on the island and few budget hotels so casa particulares are a popular means of lodging for budget travellers. It's also a good way to meet Cuban families and see how they live.
